Kyra Borromeo, AMFT
Kyra believes that healing occurs within connection, and is committed to fostering authentic relationships where patients feel safe, seen and respected. She values compassionate, multidimensional care that prioritizes holistic wellbeing and meets patients where they are.
Drawing from modalities including CBT, IFS, Mindfulness, and the Gottman Method, and grounded in a trauma- and attachment-informed lens, Kyra guides individuals with mood disorders, grief and loss, obsessive compulsive disorder, and life transitions toward more fulfilling and values-aligned lives.
Kyra received her B.S. in English Literature in the U.S. Naval Academy and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Coming from a military and athletics background, Kyra has experienced firsthand the power of collective effort and shared purpose on achieving lofty goals. She is excited at the opportunity to work within a clinical team harnessing that same collaborative energy to support individuals navigating mental health challenges as they seek purpose, joy, and connection.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Kyra enjoys reading, hiking, going to the beach, watching Japanese and Korean reality television, and spending time with her partner and dog.
