When outpatient therapy is not enough, many adults with acute symptoms assume their only option is a costly inpatient stay that removes them from work, family, and daily routines. On the other end of the spectrum, individuals leaving inpatient care are often asked to transition abruptly back into daily life with only minimal weekly support, when what they actually need is continued structure and guidance.
Intensive outpatient care was designed to meet people in this in-between space, and to serve as a bridge along the continuum of care for those transitioning in support needs.
True Life Center’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in San Diego offers a more refined model of care: bringing interdisciplinary providers together within a shared, integrative framework to support meaningful clinical change while allowing patients to remain engaged in their responsibilities, relationships, and daily life
