Treatment

ADHD can be effectively treated with a combination of psychotherapy, psychiatric interventions, and integrative services. For patients who are being treated in our IOP or PHP, we offer neuropsychological testing as a way to clarify the diagnosis and understand the specific impact of ADHD on each patient. Once this is established, we implement a comprehensive treatment plan that includes therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which provides behavioral management techniques and strategies to create meaningful structure. We also utilize an evidence-based approach to medications that have proven to be useful in managing symptoms like movement and emotional response. Through True Life’s neurobiological approach – which combines acupuncture, fitness, mindfulness, yoga and nutrition with psychotherapy and psychiatric interventions – patients with ADHD learn to mitigate the illness’ impact on the mind and body, and develop strategies for sustainable health practices and restoration.
