Kayla Rillie believes that food is medicine, and she is committed to helping patients embrace the transformative power of balanced nutrition and intuitive eating principles. As a Registered Dietitian with a focus on holistic wellness, Kayla understands that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healthy living. She considers each patient’s individualized needs, then provides a customized nutritional education to help nourish the mind, body, and soul.
Kayla received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, with a Minor in Psychology, from San Diego State University. She completed her accredited dietetic internship through Utah State University, and worked at several nutrition-based clinics before discovering her passion for counseling patients dealing with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and eating disorders. As mother to a baby girl, Kayla also finds joy in helping educate women on prenatal and postnatal nutrition.
Kayla understands that, for many individuals, nutrition can feel intimidating and confusing. By teaching patients how to form balanced meals and listen to their body’s unique cues rather than worry about counting calories or following the latest diet fad, Kayla’s sessions lay the groundwork for positive and sustainable lifestyle changes. As a firm believer that everyone deserves to feel confident and healthy, Kayla finds great fulfillment in helping patients along their wellness journey. She is delighted to play a key role in True Life’s collaborative treatment team and to support patients as they discover their best life.
