Christopher has enjoyed cultivating meaningful and productive clinical relationships with many clients from diverse backgrounds. He has worked with individuals dealing with substance abuse addiction, co-occurring disorders, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Life Transition Issues, and Stress Management. He is also a skilled Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner, and has helped many patients find relief from the distress of traumatic memories.
Christopher believes that a therapeutic relationship can set the stage for clients to be empowered and make changes that will lead more fulfilling and productive lives. Working in a holistic atmosphere reinforces one of his core beliefs; a personal journey is accelerated when their whole person is attended to. He encourages clients to recognize internal resources and tap into their own potential in order to accomplish their goals in a non-judgmental setting. He understands there is challenge associated with making change.; he, therefore, provides support, advocacy, and understanding to help see a client through the process of growth and transformation.
Christopher completed his graduate education at the University of San Diego and completed his Graduate Intern hours at the Veterans Village of San Diego. He has accumulated over 10 years of professional mental health experience in a variety of clinical settings. His professional work has included private practice, psychiatric social worker, substance abuse counselor, clinical program coordinator, autism counselor, group facilitator, and mental health case manager. He is elated to be providing clinical care at True Life Center for Wellbeing, as he believes it is the integrative path to healing that patients find the greatest success.
